Europe Readr aims to promote reading culture and critical thinking about the future of life across societies, to support the creation of public spaces for exchange and debate on shared European values, to engage in dialogue on the European Green Deal, sustainability and urbanism through a curated program of activities. Part of the diverse program on is a reading by Austrian author and literary scholar Marlen Schachinger, Spanish writer Jorge Carrión and Swedish author Axel Lindén, followed by a discussion. In addition to her literary work, Schachinger is heavily involved in the theory of writing and feminist literary history. Her previous work (short stories, novels, radio plays, poetry as well as non-fiction books from the Herstory department) has been awarded numerous grants and prizes.
