The author Kathrin Röggla, who lives in Berlin and – among many other prizes – was awarded the Austrian Art Prize for Literature in 2020, is a digital guest at the Gothenburg Book Fair this year.
She will be talking about new developments in German-language literature with Berit Glanz (DE) and Dorothee Elmiger (CH) at the traditional German-language literature discussion of the three countries Germany-Austria-Switzerland at the Gothenburg Book Fair. Publisher Christiane Frohmann will lead the conversation. It will be broadcast live on the Austrian Embassy Facebook on September 22 at 18:00h.
In the English-language literary seminar at the Gothenburg Book Fair, organized by the European cultural network EUNIC, Kathrin Röggla will speak on: “Is Democracy under threat in Europe?” with Alexandra Lucas Coelho (Portugal), Aušra Kaziliūnaitė (Lithuania) and Krystyna Dabrowska (Poland). The moderator will be the well-known journalist Per Svensson. The conversation will be broadcast from September 23 as part of the Gothenburg Book Fair digital program (fee required) and will be online until the end of the year.
Due to the digital event formats, this time the talks are also accessible to a broad international audience.
