Jewelry Art from Austria - A traditional craft in a modern look

The Shanghai Art Collection Museum presents a focus on Austrian jewelry art as part of the 11th International Exhibition of Traditional Fine Arts. This group exhibition is not about the concept of tradition per se, but rather about a reinterpretation of arts and crafts from different countries.

The three jewelry artists Susanne Hammer, Petr Dvorak and Andrea Auer are presented in a group show in the course of the 50 years of diplomatic relations between China and Austria. It is the last exhibition of Petr Dvorak, which he himself helped to create. He will be honored posthumously with words on the part of the museum director at the opening on June 10, 2021. Andrea Auer’s donation to the Museum will be celebrated in an official presentation of certificates.

Roswitha Nieser, an artist who has lived in Hangzhou for nearly 30 years, will also be a part of the exhibition. The Tyrolean is a master of traditional Chinese painting and will also give a lecture in the course of the forum.
