Austrian writer Julya Rabinowich will read in English from her debut novel “Spaltkopf” (English title: “Splithead”), with which she won the Rauris Literature Prize in 2009, as part of this year’s Jewish Culture Festival Copenhagen.
The festival takes place for the 9th time this year (last year it had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic) and offers its visitors a wide range of concerts of various genres with bands and artists from all over the world, readings, discussions and much more.
In addition to her writing, Julya Rabinowich is also a columnist, playwright, painter and interpreter. In addition to the Rauris Literature Prize, she has been awarded the Friedrich Gerstäcker Prize, the Oldenburg Children’s and Young People’s Book Prize, the Women’s Prize for Literature of the City of Vienna and the Austrian Children’s and Young People’s Book Prize, among others. She has been writing a weekly column for the daily newspaper “Der Standard” since 2012.
