On behalf of the Austrian Foreign Ministry, IG Freie Theaterarbeit manages a sponsorship programme for theatre and performance artists from Austria, which supports participation in guest performances and residencies abroad.
Applications for funding are accepted exclusively by IG Freie Theaterarbeit and can be submitted at the latest six weeks before the planned guest performance or residency. A jury decides on the applications.
Within the framework of this funding programme, a Vimeo platform for performing artists was established, enabling Austrian Cultural Forums to present recordings of Austrian productions online.
