The Austrian Cultural Forum Kiev and the Ukrainian cultural center Mystetskyi Arsenal (Kiev) are organizing a kind of residency to promote cross-border dialogue between artists in the period from July-September 2021. The project entitled “Temporary Un/Availability” will take place in cooperation with the province of Lower Austria. In it, five Lower Austrian-Ukrainian artist tandems will be invited to reflect on a place that can temporarily only be experienced and explored digitally. What new avenues of exploration does the use of digital technologies and tools open up, what perspectives emerge, and what forms of digital poetry? Mentors accompany the artists on their journey of discovery, which includes a weekly online dialogue. Finally, all participants will meet to continue the dialogue in Kiev, where the results of the Art Residency will be presented in a group exhibition.
