In continuation of the eVe Award Ceremony of the network “The Grid” in the context of the SXSW conference in March, the Open Austria Art + Tech Lab together with the Deutsches Haus at NYU invited the renowned Austrian-German author Daniel Kehlmann and the American philosopher and AI researcher Bryan McCann in April to a discussion about the Open Austria project “AI Storytelling” and the relationship between literature and artificial intelligence, respectively.
The conversation between Kehlmann and McCann was moderated by Clara Blume (director of the Open Austria Art and Tech Lab) and included a live performance of Kehlmann with the NLP algorithm CTRL, who wrote a short story together.
