When the four young musicians unexpectedly came together in the fall of 2015, it was not clear where their journey would take them. Four very different personalities met – the love of music and the saxophone and the goal of bringing classical music closer to other people welded the four together. From this, a harmonious unity developed in a very short time.
The AUREUM Saxophone Quartet has performed on stages of renowned venues in Austria and abroad such as Konzerthaus Wien, Musikverein Wien, MuTh, Porgy & Bess, Slovak Radio Building and has been awarded numerous prizes.
The ensemble moves between tradition and modernity without being restricted. All four incorporate their musical preferences into the repertoire, combining classical, jazz, world music and genuine folk music at the highest level.
