With the support of the Austrian Cultural Forum Sarajevo, the documentary dance theater piece “In the Name of the Father” was shown on July 12th on the open air stage of the Sarajevo Theatre of War. The play deals with the life experiences of the so-called “forgotten war children” – children who were fathered by sexual violence in war and children whose fathers were members of foreign humanitarian and peace missions active in the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This was the second screening of the play in Sarajevo, which was shown in a modified form under the title “Between the Scenes – In the Name of the Father” because of the COVID19 epidemic – with excerpts from the play and interviews with the actors and scientists involved, who gave insights behind the scenes and explained the history of the play.
