Fedor Rudin (violin) performed in different chamber music ensembles on two concerts at the XVII International Chamber Music Festival in Tallinn on August 26-28, 2021. He was invited by the organizers as a star guest of the festival.
On August 26 he played the Piano Quartet Op. 47 by Robert Schumann (with Sophia Rahman, piano UK; Liisa Randalu, viola, DE and Theodor Sink, cello, EE).
At the Gala Concert on August 28, he performed Concerto for Oboe and Violin D-Mol BWV 1060 by J.S.Bach accompanied by the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and as a member of a string septet “Metamorphoses” by R. Strauss. Fedor Rudin performed on a violin by Antonio Stradivari, Ceremona 1694, provided to him by the National Bank of Austria.
The Tallinn International Chamber Music Festival is one of the top classical music events in Estonia. The festival’s concerts take place in the most historically significant halls of Tallinn’s Old Town. – French-Russian violinist Fedor Rudin (b. 1992), appointed concertmaster of the Vienna State Opera Orchestra and Vienna Philharmonic in 2019, is considered one of the most unique and versatile artists of today’s generation. He is a laureate of numerous prestigious international competitions. In addition to his activities as a violinist, he also appears regularly as a conductor. In 2021 he graduated in this field from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
