In the framework of the Summer Music Festival of Morelia with the Sinfonietta FMM, the ÖKF Mexico presents the excellent Auner Quartet (NASOM 2020-2021) with a video concert to conclude this first edition of the Summer Festival.
The Sinfonietta FMM is a training and concert production initiative for young Mexican and Latin American musicians, promoted by the Music Festival of Morelia Miguel Bernal Jiménez (FMM). It provides for a 15-day stay for young musicians selected through an international call for proposals to rehearse and present, together with personal tutors, the performance of concerts in the framework of the FMM.
The four members of the Auner Quartet Daniel Auner (violin), Barbara de Menezes Galante Auner (violin), Nikita Gerkusov (viola) and Konstantin Zelenin (cello) met in 2013 while studying chamber music at the University of Music and Performing Arts. The chemistry between them was so good that the four continued their concert activities even after they finished their studies. Barbara de Menezes Galante Auner and Daniel Auner already founded the internationally very successful Duo Mozartiano in 2011, and out of the desire to expand the tonal possibilities of this formation, a fixed line-up in the Auner Quartet was formed after a few concerts in Vienna.
