After the official launch of the project “Rejuvenating Two Historical Sites in Shahjahanabad – The Old Delhi City” on June 15, 2021 in virtual format, the first concrete step towards its implementation will take place with the workshop on “Stone Management & Store Management” on July 15 and 16, 2021. The workshop, like the inaugural event, will again be held virtually, as cultural and scientific events are still prohibited in Delhi due to the COVID situation.
During the event, experts from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna will share their expertise and exchange ideas with colleagues from the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts New Delhi (IGNCA). The end result should be a better understanding of how historic buildings in Old Delhi can be conserved and restored for sustainable use. Part of the workshop will also take place Crafts Museum Delhi.
