“FORUM PER IL FUTURO” is a new series of events organized by the WCCF in Rome that focuses on environmental sustainability, the fight against climate change, digitalization, the future of our working world, social inclusion and other topics relevant to the future, offering people with innovative ideas a stage to tell about their initiatives.
The first episode, which will be put online on the website and facebook page of ÖKF Rome on Thursday, 10.06.2021 at 18:00, is dedicated to the topic “Emergency plastic waste” and presents four representatives* of Austrian and Italian initiatives who talk about their different contributions in the fight against plastic waste:
- EKOE – an Italian company & former environmental protection association has set itself the goal of replacing disposable products such as disposable plastic plates with compostable products.
- QWARZO Italia S.p.A – the Italian company has managed to develop a technology that can be used to give paper the properties of plastic.
- PLASTICPRENEUR – the company has found a way to tackle plastic recycling while creating jobs in disadvantaged regions of the world: Machines that transform plastic waste into a secondary raw material.
- SONNENGRÜN – 4 years ago, Elisabeth Sonnleithner decides to quit her job and open a business offering plastic-free cosmetics and products for everyday life.
The next episodes of the series are scheduled to take place in the physical presence of the participants* and the audience starting in fall 2021.
