The Diplomatic Academy of Vienna conducted a two-day online training course for 22 young diplomats of the Lebanese Foreign Ministry in early June. The course was organized by the BMEIA and supported by the Future Fund of the Republic of Austria. The project is, in the midst of the severe economic crisis and in the wake of the explosion disaster at the Beirut port, a sign of solidarity with Lebanon and with the public servants who continue their work under the most difficult conditions. The course was received with enthusiasm by the participants. The Austrian contribution to the training of young Lebanese diplomats is to be continued in subsequent years by means of live lectures by Austrian diplomats in Beirut.
