We want to inspire the Spanish youth for Austrian literature! Therefore, KF Madrid, in cooperation with the Complutense University and the research group “Parefras”, has announced the first Booktrailer competition under the motto “Discover Austrian Literature!” in selected universities. Students from all departments presented their favorite books by authors such as Ilse Aichinger, Stefan Zweig, Erich Hackl, Ingeborg Bachmann, Franz Kafka, Marlen Haushofer, Thomas Bernhard or Adalbert Stifter in the form of a short film trailer.
Given the great quality of the submissions, 10 of them were published on Instagram @austriart.spain. The publications were shared and liked by hundreds of students.
Austrian filmmaker Günter Schwaiger was recruited as a jury member – in addition to university professors from Madrid, Alcalá de Henares, Córdoba and Innsbruck.
The winners will be announced on June 25 at 11:00 during an award ceremony at the Complutense University of Madrid.
