Adriana Torres is a Colombian artist living and working in Linz.
Her work ÜM_ÜBERMENSCHLICH sets in the context of the Venice Architecture Biennale from May 22 to November 21, 2021 with the motto TIME SPACE EXISTENCE in Palazzo Mora a sign of construction and expression, whose concrete references to Linz and Austria range over thematic areas of current social change to forward-looking new technologies and media. The capital city of Linz is known for the development of art related to new technologies in relation to society ( Ars Electronic) . The artist’s project is an example of this focus, linking to and reflecting on new innovative forms of expression currently being developed in Austria. Torres takes up several themes through body architecture, pursuing different motifs of investigation, such as the construction of gender and the consciousness of the human body in a network of complex spatial relations.
