The Austrian author reads from his first novel “Die Gegenstimme”.
THOMAS ARZT, born in 1983 in Schlierbach, Upper Austria. He studied screenwriting in Munich and theater studies in Vienna. Drafted his first play “Grillenparz” in 2008 as part of the writing program “stück/für/stück” at Schauspielhaus Wien. In 2011, the highly acclaimed debut premiered there. His plays have been translated into several languages and shown at festivals in New York, Buenos Aires and Kiev. In addition, he has written radio plays and political essays, including in the collective “Nazis & Goldmund.” Recently, his first novel “Die Gegenstimme” was published by Residenz Verlag.
