The Austria Day on April 17, 2021 united university lecturers as well as teachers and students from the Republic of Moldova (67 participants from all over the Republic of Moldova). In addition to two workshops by Sandra Reitbrecht (Institute of German Studies at the Univ. of Vienna) on the didactics of pronunciation and on writing, there was a live classical concert with Bettina Gradinger (violin) and Feliks Matskulyak (piano) as a “springtime visit without borders” as well as a reading with Dimitré Dinev (Vienna) from his texts “Water” and “Spas sleeps”. The organization was done by the BMBWF (Norbert Habelt), OeAD lecturer Paulus Adelsgruber (Chisinau) and Oxana Chira from the Alecu Russo University Balti. The cultural program (financed by the BMEIA/ÖB Chisinau), which spanned an arc from Austria to the neighboring countries to Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine, was particularly enthusiastically received, reading and conversation with Dimitré Dinev lasted ultimately two hours.
