Songs for Europe / Cultural Forum Sarajevo

Music project of the House of Good Tones Srebrenica

The Austrian Cultural Forum Sarajevo supports “Songs for Europe”, a music project dedicated to contemporary and lively music education for children and young people. The “Wirth Method” used in this project was developed by Gerald Wirth, director of the Vienna Boys’ Choir, and makes use of modern IT tools. The House of Good Tones in Srebrenica, a long-standing music school for children of different ethnicities from the region around Srebrenica, is implementing this project together with the Wirth Music Academy, Superar Slovakia and El Sistema Greece as part of a Creative Europe project. It will also result in an online library of European music pieces in different arrangements, which will be available to teachers and schools free of charge.
