On the initiative and with the support of the Austrian Cultural Forum Tel Aviv, a Call for Ideas is currently underway, the aim of which is to investigate the potential of public space in times of the Covid 19 pandemic and to provide food for thought on the future use of (urban) street space in particular. The call for proposals was issued jointly with the Tel Aviv-based Liebling Haus (White City Center) and the Viennese architecture firm feld72.
Architects, artists, creative thinkers, urbanists, teachers and students are invited to design Caring Infrastructures in public space and submit project ideas by the end of April. The proposals will be evaluated by an international, interdisciplinary jury, and the winning projects will be announced in May on the Catalogue of Possibilities website. The implementation of the project ideas in public space in Tel Aviv and Vienna is envisaged in September 2021.
