ÖKF Mexico presents the Moritz Weiss Klezmer Trio (NASOM 2020/2021) in March 2021 as part of the International Jazz Festival in Nicaragua. The trio will perform virtually at four different public venues with a video concert made especially for the occasion between March 17 and 20, 2021 at Parque Central de Estelí, Parque Central de Jinotega, Teatro León and Teatro Matagalpay.
The Moritz Weiß Klezmer Trio, consisting of the three artists Moritz Weiß (clarinet), Niki Waltersdorfer (guitar and percussion) and Maximilian Kreuzer (double bass), was founded in 2015. Together they reinterpret the Jewish musical tradition of klezmer and create wonderful melodies and sounds by incorporating musical styles from a wide variety of eras, such as classical music and jazz.
