Poetic Marathon for World Lyric Day / Rome Cultural Forum

Reading cycle under the sign of the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri

The annual event organized by EUNIC Rome, the network of European cultural institutes in the Italian capital, on the occasion of World Poetry Day is this year dedicated to the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s death.
Writers from 14 European countries are contributing in 12 languages to a poetic marathon that will be broadcast online from March 14-20. Each day, two readings will be presented in the original language with Italian subtitles, at least some of which refer to Dante Alighieri. The finale will be a tribute to the great Italian poet on World Lyric Day, March 21, during which all 14 authors will have their say again briefly.
