The Austrian Cultural Forum London is pleased to announce the winners of the second Wolf Suschitzky Photography Prize.
The photography prize, with the theme “Life in 2020,” invited Austrian and British photographers to submit work that highlights the challenges and impact on everyday life created by the Covid19 pandemic. The award generated a great deal of interest, with around 140 submissions in both countries.
With the help of a jury of experts, Mike Ying (UK) with his portraits from the world of dance and theater and Lea Abendstein (Austria) with her multi-layered collages were selected as winners.
Shortlisted were: Les Monaghan (UK), Maximilian Schneller (AT), Bex Day (UK), Maisie Hill (UK), Michaela Nagyidaiova (UK), Anny Wass (AT), Katharina Bayer (AT) and Maurizio Cirillo (AT).
The works of the winner and the shortlist will be presented by the Austrian Cultural Forum London in an online exhibition.
