The Austrian Cultural Forum New Delhi will present a theatrical performance of Franz Kafka’s work “The Trial”, adapted into Hindi, at the Sri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, New Delhi on March 05, 2021 at 6:30 pm in compliance with all local COVID regulations. In light of plummeting COVID numbers, live performances have been allowed again since February 2021.
The well-known novel by Franz Kafka has been adapted into a play titled “Giraftari” by Indian writer and theater scholar Rama Pandey and transferred to a contemporary Indian context. The performance is performed by the theater group “RATNAV – Rama Theater Natya Vidya” accompanied by a set of folk instruments such as tasha, dhol and nafiri.
