schreibART online, the interviews with Austrian authors recorded in the Austrian Literary Society (ÖGfL), are translated into project works by students in several Romanian foreign language faculties through the mediation of KF Bucharest. This series begins with the interview with Susanne Gregor, which was translated into Romanian by the Master’s course in Translation Studies at the German Department of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Bucharest. In this schreibART online issue, Susanne Gregor talks about her novel “The Last Red Year” as well as its sequel project. “The Last Red Year” is set in Slovakia on the eve of the end of the socialist regime. Three friends, Miša, Rita and Slavka, who couldn’t be more different, live in the same apartment building but experience these days of transition completely differently. The interview will be streamed on the homepage of KF Bucharest.
