This exhibition on Gustav Mahler, provided by the BMEIA and translated into French by the Austrian Consulate General Strasbourg, highlights his life and work, especially his years in Vienna. Expanded by two display panels on Mahler’s symphonic works by Professor Mathieu Schneider, a renowned Mahler expert at the University of Strasbourg, eight display panels adorn the event room of the Consulate General. Seventeen picture boards (so-called roll-ups) were produced to be made available to local educational and cultural institutions (for example, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg and the European School of Strasbourg) in the form of a traveling exhibition. A bilingual brochure – both printed and digital, in German and in French – will accompany the exhibition. A presentation video will bring the exhibition closer to the interested public.
