Crosscultural online concert / Cultural Forum Kairo

The Styrian soul band SLADEK and the celebrated Egyptian pop singer Dina El Wedidi met for a cross-cultural online concert in digital space and inspired the audience: With groovy original compositions, partly accompanied by experimental electro sounds, the two artists took their online audience on a musical journey through the genres funk, soul, as well as Arabic and East African folk. Especially stirring: the joint composition “Keep On” – attention: catchy tune! – sung in Arabic and English, whose groovy beats hardly let the visitors sit still.

The guitarist and singer David Sladek from Graz is the eponym for the successful Styrian band SLADEK, which has made a name for itself in Austria with its compositions, especially in the field of contemporary soul and R&B. Dina El Wedidi is a singer and composer and is celebrated in Egypt as one of the most successful female pop and folk voices.
