“Unsound”, the renowned Krakow festival for music and visual arts, will take place online from 1-11.10.2020. This year it is under the motto “Intermission”. Various projects by artists from Austria form the program block “Intermission Austria”. With their experimental performance “dreamRooms()”, Sinjin Hawke & Zora Jones present the audience with an insight into how their works are created in times of growing uneasiness in the face of their own isolation. The premiere of this audiovisual project will take place as a livestream (unsound.pl /Youtube/Facebook/Twitch) with a live chat on the festival channel’s Discord platform. The two Vienna-based sound artists Zosia Holubowska and Julia Giertz will present their joint radio play “Trauergemeinschaft” (Community of Mourning) as a “sound ceremony to reconcile with the state of insecurity”. During the radio play, the authors invite you to chat on the Discord platform of the festival channel. And Rojin Sharafi, a composer of electroacoustic and electronic music, also living in Vienna, whose works combine various genres such as noise, folk, ambient, metal and new music, will give a concert in the “Unsound” festival program Intermission Studio of the established Polish cultural radio station Kapital.
