Under the title “Concerti sul sofà” (Sofa Concerts) the Austrian Cultural Forum Rome offers the Italian audience – corona-conditioned – unusual concert experiences from home. A total of 30 musicians have recorded 13 performances from baroque music to jazz in their living rooms and home studios exclusively for this event. The greetings and moderation were spontaneous and very personal, some even in Italian. Stylistically, a colourful mixture is emphasised. The spectrum ranges from new folk music, old music, jazz and world music to many original compositions and bizarre synthesizer pop. Of course, all recordings were made in compliance with all safety regulations.
The concerts will be broadcast on the website for one week each from May to the beginning of July and will subsequently remain available on the ÖKF Rome YouTube channel. The following ensembles take part in the online concert series: Klaus Paier & Asja Valcic, Ramsch & Rosen (Julia Lacherstorfer, Simon Zöchbauer), Monika Stadler (harp), Sinfonia de Carnaval (Anna Lang, Alois Eberl), Manu Delago & Claudia Delago-Norz, First Vienna Home Organ Orchestra, Tubonika (Johannes Kölbl, Tobias Weiß), Duo Vila Madalena (Marco Antonio da Costa, Franz Oberthaler), BartolomeyBittmann, Trio Tribidabo (Matthias Meister, Bernd Kohlhofer, Simon Reithofer), Àngela Tröndle & Pippo Corvino, Sara Filipova and Holler my Dear (Laura Winkler).
